SYMPHONOVA TECHNOLOGIES

Symphonova proprietary technologies include two hardware technologies for sound quality (Symphonova Versatile Acoustic System and Instrumental Loudspeakers) and two software for creating musical expression (Conductor’s Gestural Control and Espressivo software).

A synergistic combination of these enabling technologies endow Symphonova’s conductor with power to control and shape in real-time the authentic sound and musical expression of a full-sized Symphony orchestra. Depending on the size of the venue and the musical context, we use either the MicroSymphonova or the Symphonova Orchestra.

The MicroSymphonova

The MicroSymphonova System consists of two of our enabling technologies: conductor’s gestural control, which enables conductor’s precise, instantaneous control over the expression of the virtual instruments while using conventional conducting gestures; and Symphonova Versatile Acoustic System (SVAS™), which creates immersive acoustics experience. The system allows conductors to work closely with soloists , maximising their freedom to shape the performance in relation to the acoustics and enables audiences to experience full symphonic scores in new contexts.

Symphonova Orchestra

The Symphonova Orchestra uses four enabling technologies:

Symphonova conducting software provides conductors with full, instantaneous control over the timing and expression of the virtual instruments. Our Espressivo software captures the nuances of musical expression and applies it to virtual instruments.

Symphonova Versatile Acoustic System (SVAS™) creates variable acoustics that optimises audiences’ immersive experience and provides artists with freedom to shape their performance in relation to the acoustics. And Symphonova Instrumental Loudspeakers create the authentic sound of acoustic instruments when listening to virtual instruments.

The synergistic combination of Symphonova these technologies enables creating the full symphonic sound and experience in small venues and new contexts.
