Introduction

In both the  Strings and Symphonic packages, the following types of Stems are delivered:

  • Sectional Stems

These are stems for the instrument group or family, such as the group High Strings (violins 1, violins 2, violas) or Low Woodwinds (Bass clarinet and bassoon) .

  • Player’s Stems

These are stems for each individual recorded musician. We include them when there are solo lines within a section (as opposed to a soloist part mentioned below). You will be able to discuss which are the relevant parts in the briefing meeting with the conductor. Each part is delivered in the three mic positions.

Soloists, Voice, Percussion or Keyboard Parts

Our service does not create or generate percussion or keyboard parts using virtual instruments. We can accept and process your recordings of these parts when you upload them. Our service does not currently accept voice recordings.

In case your piece includes one or more soloist’s parts (up to four parts)

Soloists, in this context, refers to one or more musicians who in live performance would be in front of the orchestra, and not placed onstage as a player within the ensemble. Up to four soloists can be included in a project. The Soloists Stems for each soloist are delivered in the three microphone positions.
